  • MediaQart’s ad manager runs on an intelligent algorithm that predicts an optimum ad setup that will give you the best results for your budgets and objectives. These predictions are made on historic ad runs through MediaQart.
  • One of the setup elements is duration of ad-run. The optimum duration for ad-run depends on critical factors like budget, the social media platform, objective, and the target audience.
  • Thus, the auto-calculated duration for your ad-run is geared towards giving you the best results for your ad objectives within the budget you have selected.
  • To change the duration, you will have to change the allocated budget, assuming that everything else remains the same.

The answer to this is somewhat layered. To understand this, we need to wrap our heads around the following 2 metrics.

  1. Impressions - This is the number of times your Ad is displayed.
  2. Reach - This is the number of unique users the Ad was shown to.

Thus, in most cases, Reach is a subset of Impressions. Depending on your industry, target audience profile, social media platform, ad objectives, and duration of the ad-run, there are always some chances that your ad could be shown to a user multiple times. This however isn’t an error; it’s a very normal occurrence in the world of social media ads. It’s because of this that we recommend that you stick to MediaQart’s recommended ad setup. After selecting your industry and target profile, you will be recommended a duration for the ad-run given your budget, objectives, and social media platform. Sticking to the recommended duration helps reduce the incidence of repeat impressions.
